Somebody can explain me why "okii" to "chiisai" can be used in the form "ooki na ie" "chiisa na ie" and also in the form "ookii ie" "chiisai ie"? They are "i" adjectives but we can use them also like "na" adjectives?
I know that we can use them in both ways in certain cases, but I dont know why...

It's because without that second i they are not i-adjectives.
They're just strange exceptions, not all adjectives are like that.
I don't think there is a real reason behind it.
